Hello again it's been a while since i posted on here, due to various things (such as computer dying) but now i'm back!

Life at the moment

Things are going pretty well at the mo, job is fine, got to do a course last week that was good and my new team are all friendly people, if a little crazy, but it takes one to know one, i'm feeling a lot healthier than i have been recently and i am looking forward to hearing from the colleges to see if they have accepted me.

He's leaving us

Sir Volkar has decided to go west in search of knowledge of the schoolteacing kind, my reply is DON'T GO!

Dr who

The 2 parter was truly excellent in my eyes, 'human nature and 'the family of blood' were the best episodes of the series so far, (more episodes like this please)  i just think the acting and the storyline in general was great, tennant again was superb but credit must go to freema and jessica hynes as the love interest, ps did anyone spot the film that the boy was from?

Gigs galore

Is it me or has there been lots of concerts going on recently, went to ponty to see henry rollins and he was absolutely brilliant, very funny and very intelligent, my main gripe was the the seating led a lot to be desired and i felt very cramped for the gig.
Last wednesday saw me travel to bristol to see killswitch engage and they kicked ass, the academy was full and from the start to the end you had everyone signing to the songs, at one point howard jones had to stop singing as he was overcome with emotion, the highlights were end of heartache and my last serenade, i don't need to tell you that they come highly recommended.

Birthdays galore

June is the month for birthdays, i've had to celebrate 4 already and it's only the 10th, went to callaghans on the 2nd to celebrate rachel's b'day and despite there being a depleted number of us around i still think she had a good turnout, so again HAPPY BIRTHDAY RACHEL!
On tuesday went to the gatekeeper to start celebrating tom's b'day, another good turnout that carried on into the welsh club where they played, (shock horror) good music (still no emo sir volkar) the night consisted of much drunken dancing and the taking over of the dancefloor by a select group of people, the evening ended with a homage to ong bak courtesy of mat and tom, but just to reiterate HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOM!

Heroes

Loving heroes at the moment, only a couple of weeks left, don't spoil it for me you buggers who've seen it ps is it wrong for me to kile claire bennet from the show, i just think it would be cool to have a girlfriend who is indesructible and a snappy cheerleader outfit to boot! :-)

Ok that will do for now, so long suckers!

Hello all thought it was time for me to post again my thoughts and happenings over the last few weeks so here goes :-

Work
Work is going well at the moment, i am now through all my training and now doing proper work, part of the payments department which means i take money off grumpy people, grumpy because they don't like paying for stuff.
I like the job at the moment, most of the tasks i have to do are straightforward and the people there are ok, see how it goes in a year's time.

Heroes
This series gets better every time i se it, this episode wasn't as great as previous ones as it mainlt focused on suresh in his indian homeland, but next week's looks better as it focuses a lot more on hiro, though even if it's not a great episode you still feel the need to watch it in case you miss anything important

Decided that kid's parties are great the food been to a couple recently, favourite foodes are sausage rolls, jaffa cakes, chocoalte fingers and those cheese and pineapple sticks.

Gameshow night
Damo's gameshow night 2 is coming to soon, looking for players and experts for the probalble generation game spin off with a
real conveyor belt.

Just got an ipod in the post now i have to work out how to use it, never been the best person with technology to be honest.

I'm glad the nights are getting lighter, perfect for barbicues and sitting in a beer garden

Dr Who
I am really liking the new series so far, i think this has something to do with the new assistant, who brings a certain quality that
rose tyler didn't, tennant is excellent as ever, last weeks focused on introducing martha jones (who could turn out to be one of the best assitants the doctor ever had), this week's brought witches and will shakespeare (or is that an actor playing kenneth
branagh) this was another strong episode with good storytelling and good effects, next week's episode has ardal o' hanlon from
father ted fame guest starring so that should be good.

Call of Cthulu
Looking for players for a call of cthulu game that i will be running soon, don't know when but will be probably on a weekend when people can fit it in

Boys Night
Another boys night yes, it has to be done in the next few weeks, again when most people are available here are my suggestions

 Pub then club
Start off in pub in town then go to other pubs before ending up in someones house for more beer
Pub crawl
Stay at a persons house drink, be merry, converse and watch cheesy films
Maybe do something else like bowling or hire a hall for a football match, i don't know
Any other suggestions would be apprieciated

Boys the time for talking is over , the time for doing is upon us!

Cheers for reading this page of random rambling

I've been watching some classic kids cartoons of late and decided to put a list of my ten favourite kids shows that i used to watch as a kid. Bear in mind that htey are not in any particular order they're just my ten favourites : -

Thundercats - this is one of my favourites i always thought lion-o was cool, most of the other thundercats were great too but snarf was just another in the long line of annoying sidekicks, it also had a kickass theme tune

Rainbow - When i was even younger rainbow was my favourite show i even had a rainbow lightshade, sure it hasn't aged well but there was something very appealing to a 5 year old.

Puddle Lane - i used to run home lunchtime to watch puddle lane, another great kids show, this programme had the added bonus of having books to collect so i do remeber having all the puddle lane books

Dungeons and Dragons - Great cartoon series about a group of kids who end up in a fantasy world after taking a ride on space mountain gone bad. THis cartoon also had an annoying sidekick (uni - hank shoot the little unicorn now) and an evil villain called venger or was he the villian as it could have easily been dungeon master i mean he did lead the kids on a wild goose chase.

Transformers - For the theme tune alone and optimous prime the best cartoon character ever.

Maid Marian and her merry men - A brilliant comedy series that told the robin hood tale in a slightly different way, well worth it's placing on the list for the crystal maze episode alone.

Danger Mouse - Brilliant voice talents of david jason and terry scott and absurd storylines made this a popular choice, if the monty python team would have ever made a cartoon series this would have been it.

Futurama - Not really a kids show but i don't care it's in here deal with it. Great stories and great characters make this an enjoyable watch, many people rave about the simpsons but futurama was always my favourite, bring futurama back.

Rolfs Cartoon Club - Rolf is a legend and this show was great, i used to whistle to the theme tune and i used to send stuff in (and i did for hartbeat think one of my pics was even on one of the shows)

Knightmare - If i was doing this list as a top ten, this would probably be at the top of the list, i used to love this programme and me and a few people from junior school wrote in to be on it (weren't picked though), the computer effects were good considering when it was made and treygard (sp) was cool, but what i really loved was how i immersed myself into the show, i felt i was travelling with the kids on their quest, when they won you would celebrate with then, if they lost you would feel gutted for them, i was so disappointed when ITV topped making it, thouh the last run wasn't the best if i remember.

So that's it of course i've missed stuff out, but i could only pick ten so if yopu can think of other shows that you liked or would just like to comment on my list feel free to do so.

Hello all, hope everyone has had a good weekend, i'll give you a brief of mine : -

Friday : Consisted of work, where i was on phones barring people from phoning RBS insurance (i have the power to barr people, sweet) i also passed my last test on fri which was a test on fraud and fraudulent activities, i like the look of fraud, not actualy commiting it but becoming a member of the fraud special investigations department in RBS. My evening consisted of pizza and playing on the wii with some of my friends kids (i've become a bit of a pro on the bowling but the baseball is still a bit of a bugger)

Saturday: Well i got up (always a good start) and went to town shopping (didn't get much, just some aftershave and other smelly stuff), then went to si pinky' s some of the afternoon and got my ass whooped at streetfighter 2 he even kpt beating me as zangief, very embarrissing and he did the bloody spinning piledriver on me, grr zangief grr. The evening was boys night which was a whole lot better arranged than girls night, our 1st pub had to be changed as allensbank shut for refurbishment (why do these places say refurbishment and when you go back in there it's basically the same place with just a sploge of new paint) we went to heath, flora, woodville, pen and wig, central bar and rummer before some people went down to bogiez, to be honest i was getting a bit tired by the time i got to bogiez so left early.

Sunday : Not really done much today, though i was collared into helping move stuff for people as one of my friends was moving into a new house, by the time that was done i was too tired to do anything else, ah well i must be getting old...er.

Hope to see or speak to everyone soon.

Hello all how is everyone doing, this is me damo, with my official blog.

It will be updated on a semi regular basis and will include my doings, thoughts  and basically what is going on inmy life.

JOB

Firstly my new job is going very well, just doing a lot of training work, finding out about RBS insurance and other stuff.
I have started going on the computers and doing some live work, there are 8 other people on my training group and they seem alrightbut they do seem to want to go to the pub a lot.
Training carries on another couple of weeks so fingers crossed it goes well.

HEROES

I've seen it and i honestly can't put into words how good this programme is.
It's basically a programme about a group of seemingly normal people who develop special powers but can't go ino too much of the plot (as i've only seen the first three episodes).
i believe sci-fi channel have pulled off a real coup by obtaining the rightsfor this programme, all i can say is if you haven't seen it , watch it.

MY BIRTHDAY

Thank you for all the people who wished me well, came out for the evening or just texted me for my birthday.
I had a great time, didn't drink too much, got some funky prezzies and was in the company of some very kind, loyal and awesome people, true fuel could have been better but i had a great time with everyone anyway so i din't care p.s it did take me while to get all the glitter out of my hair. :-)

Thanks for reading and i will post again real soon, please feel free to add any comments>
